Dog lives alone in an apartment in Manhattan and he’s tired of being alone. One day he decides to build himself a companion – a robot. Their friendship blossoms and they become inseparable, spending many fun moments together to the rhythm of 80’s NYC. One summer night, however, unforeseen circumstances occur and Dog is forced to abandon Robot. Will they ever meet again?
The first animation by the award-winning Spanish director Pablo Berger (Blancanieves, 2012.) is a touching story about friendship, its importance, and its fragility. It premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and was nominated for Best Animated Film at the 96th Academy Awards.
