Berat is a social worker from Oslo, and Mamo is his protégé who fell into a criminal network and needs help. Berat pulls the young man out of trouble and encourages him to make positive changes while developing a close, protective relationship with him, even taking Mamo's side in a police case initiated for a minor misdemeanor. When the police start digging into Berat's past, they discover that Berat was once also a troubled young man...

In this documentary film that uses the means of fiction to tell a story, Berat and Mamo recreate events from the past by playing themselves, thus presenting their touching story in which a social worker saved the life of a lost young man.
