Many years after a sweltering summer that spun out of control, Eva returns to the village she grew up in with an ice block in the back of her car. In the dead of winter, she decided to confront her past and face up to her tormentors from her adolescent days.
Provocative directorial debut by the Belgian actress Veerle Baetens is an adaptation of Liza Spit's novel of the same name, focusing on the topic of peer violence and the lasting consequences of adolescent trauma. It premiered at Sundance Film Festival where Rosa Marchant won the award for the best actress for her impressive performance as the protagonist Eva in childhood days.
