This year's Mediterranean Film Festival Split enters its finishing line, and the night before the bank holiday is an ideal opportunity to enjoy one of the three cinemas where films are shown as part of this cultural event.
At open air cinema 'Bačvice', at 21:30, "Tremors" is shown, in which the traditional life of a 40-year-old married man is reversed after falling in love with a man because his family and extremely religious ecclesiastical community are ready to do it all to "cure" him and return him to the right path. The film is being screened as part of the program 'The Other Side of the Mediterranean', and the action takes place in Guatemala, the country from which the award-winning director Jayro Bustamante comes from.
The Syrian-Lebanese documentary film "Still Recording" is screened at Zlatna Vrat at 7 pm. The film has been created out of more than 500 hours of recorded material and it follows art students during the Syrian War.
Today's "Ješke" are "Steppe Fox" by Andrija Mardešić on Bačvice and "Lovebox" for which Ivan Turković-Krnjak received the Best Director Award on Days of Croatian Film
At open air cinema in front of the Youth Center tonight at 21:30, there is a real treat for lovers of short form. As part of the international short film program, films from Italy, France and Portugal are displayed.
