3rd day of FMFS starts at 21:30 at open air cinema Bačvice, screening an Italian film 'Love And Bullets'. The film had its premiere at the recent Venice Film Festival, for which directors duo Manetti won five national awards including the one for Best Film.
The screening is organised with the sponsorship of Istituto Italiano di Cultura and what makes it interesting is the fact that the film is dedicated to the typical Neapoletan genre sceneggiatta, musical melodrama. The movie plot is situated in the Neapoletan criminal underground, defying boldly to mafia stereotypes and typical representation of the dark side of Naples. Today's programme 'Jeske' at Bačvice includes 'Silvio the Dragon' by Lucija Bosančić and 'Northern Hymn' by Tino Žanić, screened just before the film'Taste of Cement' at 19:00, Cinematheque Zlatna Vrata. This visually impressive documentary film represents lives of emigrants and their everyday lives burdened by ongoing wars. The film won an award at festival Visions du Reél.
