Over the years, the Ješke programme has gained great popularity among the audience, so not only does FMFS continue to give Croatian shorts a prime time slot at Bačvice, but it also puts the main competitive focus on it.
The authors of these films are the future of the domestic cinematography, and at the FMFS they are competing for the biggest cash prize in Croatia for a short film. The winner will receive 2500 euros, and 500 euros go to each winner chosen by the audience and the author of the best screenplay.
Three weeks after the premiere in the Critic’s Week at Cannes, “The Real Truth About the Fight” by the director Andrea Slaviček opens the FMFS, and for the first time in Croatia, after the premiere in Rotterdam, we will also watch the film “Ingresso animali vivi” by Igor Grubić.
Ivan Efendić (Mate), Krešimir Štulina (Unleashed), and Karla Lulić (Split Ends) will have their Ješka world premiere at Bačvice. Among this year's Ješkas are directors Rino Barbir (Zof), Sunčica Fradelić (While We Were Here), Martina Meštrović (Her Dress for the Final), and Ana Šiškov (Dancing on the Grave).
