Croatian premiere of Argentine-Mexican film "Accused" will be held at 21:30 at open air cinema "Bačvice" as part of the 12th Mediterranean Film Festival Split. Director Gonzalo Tobal brings a story about Dolores who lived as a carefree student until her best friend was brutally murdered. Two years later, Dolores is the only one accused of a cruel crime that attracts the media's great attention and puts it in the center of the public, where everyone has an opinion about her innocence or guilt. The film had a world premiere at the Venice Film Festival, after which the critics praised the screenplay, but alsothe performance of the young Lali Esposito, who is a big star in native Argentina.
At Zlatna Vrata at 19 o'clock, "The Birds of Summer" is shown, a visually impressive narrative about the emergence of narco-cartels in Colombia, which had its premiere at the Cannes Film Festival, and found itself in a wider list of Oscar nominees. The action was set in the seventies of the last century, while America spread the hippie culture, Colombia was hit by the fever of marijuana breeding, transforming the former farmers into business people.
Today's "Ješka" on Bačvice is "Rooster" by Sabrina Begović-Coric, created according to a short story by Tanja Mravak, following a young rural housewife Anđa that on Women's Day finally gathers the courage to report her abusive husband.
