This Thursday, at 21:30, starts 11th Festival of Mediterranean film Split. During the next 10 days the audience of FMFS will have the opportunity to see for the first time a long list of interesting long feature films that left the impression at festivals all over the world.
7th year in a row, as a part of this favourite cultural manifestation, the programme 'Jeske' screens Croatian short films, this time awarding the winner with the biggest money prize in Croatia.
Our audience was thrilled to start with, having short film programme as the part of the festival. In addition, 'Jeske' are being screened in prime time, just before the long feature film, giving directors the unique opportunity to receive a big applause. From this year we are also festival with the biggest money prize of 11.000 kn, ensured by our long time festival partner, UJE. The winner will be selected by a jury composed of Tanja Mravak, Silva Ćapin i Petar Orešković- said Alen Munitić, festival manager, inviting also the audience to vote, because that prize is important for the authors as well.
Just a day after the premiere at Animafest, ('Cyclists') by Veljko Popović will be screened in Split. The film that brings life to the characters of painter Vasko Lipovac. Croatian premiere of the new film ('Lovettovi') is happening for the last year winner of Pula Film Festival, Igor Bezinović. Judita Gamulin will present ('Marica') and among 'Jeske' there are also ("Northern Hymn") by Tino Žanić, ("Silvio zmaj") by Lucija Bosančić, ("Party") by Ivan Stanić, ("Kontraofenziva") by Jakov Nola, ("Tak je, kak' je") by Arsen Oremović, ("Siguran let") by Aldo Tardozzi, ("Gdje se vrabac skriva kad je hladno") by Denis Lepura and Marko Stanić, ("Mezostajun") by Ivan Ramljak, ("Nice and Cosy") by Marko Višnjić, ("U plavetnilo") by Antoaneta Alamat Kusijanović, ("Ultra") by Igor Jelinović, ("Marija") by Juraj Primorac, ("Čistačica") by Matija Vukšić and ("Suton") by Lili Zaneta and also Croatian co-production "Manivald" by Chintisa Lundgren.
