Gilda is a retired high school teacher from Lisbon, cynical, witty, and terminally ill. She has a year left to live and her only wish is to die on "her own terms", with dignity and without pain. When she fails to do so despite several clumsy attempts, she joins an obscure organization that helps terminally ill people to kill themselves painlessly. There she meets a young man named Amadeu.
An absurd (tragi)comedy about euthanasia with an excellent acting duo, Denise Fraga and João Nunes Monteiro, premiered at the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival.
