Andrea Spezzacatena had just turned 15 when he decided to take his own life. He was a seemingly cheerful boy, close to his parents, an excellent student. His act was therefore absolutely unexpected and inexplicable - until his mother, after his death, accessed his Facebook profile and saw the hell he was going through due to bullying on social media and at school.
The film based on a tragic true story, adapted from Andrea's mother's book, is a powerful warning about the impact of peer violence and the devastating effect of words and gestures that may seem harmless. The film premiered at the Rome Film Festival and was a box office hit in Italy last year.
