After last nights' deserved standing ovation for adaptation of Hedgehog's Home, tonight in this exceptional open air cinema arrives a film by Mayasaloun Hamoud – 'In Between' that won three awards at festival in San Sebastian as well as the Audience Award of ZFF.
It is a story about co-existence of three Palestinians in Tel Aviv, a successful lawyer that parties hard every night, a lesbian working as DJ and a religious Muslim that is about to reach her maturity. Because of 'In Between' the director was called out for insulting religious feelings and breaking certain laws, but despite that the film won over every festival. Short film 'Plan A' will be screened before at 21:30, directed by Tomo Luetić, competing in category 'Jeske' , starring famous Croatian actresses.
Monday at FMFS starts at 19h in cinema 'Zlatna Vrata' with 12 minute long 'Before the flags' by Sanja Bistričić, followed by 'The Reconquest' by Jonas Trueba, the youngest member of a famous Spanish film family. The theme is a modern love story about Manuela and Olmo that meet 15 years after their last encounter, as they promised to each other while they were 15 year olds in love.
