Following the successful open-air screening on Kampus in May, this winter we are turning the student canteen into a cinema.
In partnership with the Split Student Centre and the Student Union of the University of Split, FMFS will regularly organise screenings of festival films for students throughout the winter.
The first screening will take place on Tuesday, 26 November at 9:30 pm at Restaurant Kampus, featuring the gripping thriller The Guilty. The film will be screened with both Croatian and English subtitles, allowing Erasmus students to enjoy the screening as well. Admission is free.
Police officer Asger Holm, working a shift as an emergency call dispatcher, receives a call from a woman who has been kidnapped. When the call is suddenly cut off, his search for the mysterious woman and her abductor begins. With the telephone as his only tool, Asger races against time, doing everything he can to save the endangered woman. As time passes, however, Asger realises he is dealing with a crime far greater than he initially believed.
This tense thriller premiered at the Sundance Film Festival, where it won the Audience Award for Best Film, and received the same honour at the Rotterdam Film Festival.
