'German Spite' , shared project by Silva Ćapin and Rea Rajčić is a winner of a public pitching forum as a part of Workshop of preparing and presenting film project for international market, that was included in this year's Mediterranean Film Festival Split. The members of jury that brought the decision were Roshanak Behesht Nedjad, a respectable German film producer that was in charge of the workshop, co-organiser Martina Petrović, director of Creative Europe Desk – office Media Croatia and Leopold Botteri from company 'Uje' that sponsored the prize of 10.000 kn for a new film work presenting Mediterranean themes.
Short film winner was presented by Silva Ćapin and Rea Rajčić in cinema 'Zlatna Vrata' and they won followed by a serious competition, such as: 'Dubrovnik Asleep' by Srđan Laterza, 'Two Tickets to Budapest' by Dinko Božanić, '43m2' by Marko Višnjić and 'Medium Rare' by Marin Lisjak
Film starts with a group of tourists arriving to the isolated Croatian island to have fun. It is very hot and they have only one parasol that is taken by a German tourist. After they find out that she is dead, they have to decide whether they should call for help or pretend she is asleep and enjoy the rest of the perfect day- said Ćapin and Rajčić, announcing that the premiere should take place in Split.
Authors of feature films also presented their works, and the best one won three mentorships led by Behesht Nedjad. The story is about Kenneth Sciclun from Malta and his film 'With Erik Ellul' that talks about an actor who after his heart surgery travels alone from Malta to Berlin to find a woman with whom he spent the night thirty years ago.
Part of the competition were also: '7th Heaven' by Jasna Nanut and Hrvoje Osvadić, 'Little Tesla and Thieves of Ideas' by Petar Orešković, Vanja Obad and Matija Drniković, 'Table for two' by Marijana Četković and Mija Bučević and 'Katarina's Wheel' by Martin Bonnici, another competitor from Malta.
