We are only three weeks away from 10th anniversary of Mediterranean Film Festival Split, and on that occasion organizers published competition program „Jeske“ , on which Croatian national team of short film got 'hooked.'
The success of this popular program, through which Mediterranean Film Festival gives 'prime time' to short film screening it in front of the full audience shortly before feature films, is being highlighted by introducing the prize money. This year, the author of best 'Jeska' will receive the prize of 10.000 kn.
New film by Boris Poljak 'Oni samo dolaze i odlaze' will definitely attract a great number of viewers. It was filmed on beach Bacvice and it won the main prize of the Oberhausen festival. 'Shorty' by Marko Jukić 'Med i mliko' will open Mediterranean Film Festival featuring Split theme. Igor Jelinović, well known author among the visitors will screen an unusual romantic comedy 'Morska pjena'.
Illegally constructed apartment blocks are the main subject of the movie 'Zvir' that helped the author Miroslav Sikavica to be noticed even in Cannes. Long expected adaption of 'Jezeva kućica' won a special award by children's jury in Berlin, for which all credits go to Eva Cvijanović. The narrator of this Croatian- Canadian co-production is Rade Šerbedžija, music was written by Darko Rundek, and the assistant for puppet making and animation was a famous author Tim Allen, Tim Burton's associate.
Movie stars Ksenija Marinković and Goran Navojec are starring in 'More' by igor Šeregija, Lovro Mrđen in 'Fabijan' hired Jadranka Đokić and Goran Bogdan, Marija Škaričić is starring in the winner of Zagreb Film Festival 'Mlijecni zub' by Sasa Ban and Rakan Rushaidat has a leading role in the movie by Bojan Radanović 'Prije mraka'.
Documentary film by Jakov Labrović 'BLINK' will have its world premiere at Mediterranean Film Festival. Until now it was a part of the contemporary circus perfomance made by the collective ROOM 100. Tomislav Luetić, known for its film 'Snijeg u Splitu' will present this year his 'Plan A'. Tamara Bilankov is returning with 'Akt' and Tomislav Šoban will present 'Kako je Iva otišla 16.rujna 2016.'
'Po čovika' by Kristina Kumrić had its premiere in Toronto, after which it has been screened at 15 more festivals all over the world. Experimental short film 'Partenza' is a piece made by artist Renata Poljak. Sanja Bistričić is the author of a documentary 'Ispred zastava' . Marcella Zanki presents her experimental dance film 'Oda mladosti' and Tea Tucak is the author of the animated movie 'Otok'.
Full programme of 10th Mediterranean Film Festival taking place in three locations will be published on Tuesday, 23rd May. Until then, Festival tickets for the price of 250kn will be for sale.
