The 5C Project Cine-Caravan, a travelling programme for film culture and education of young people, students and general audience, during this year's FMFS (10th -12th June) will also have its stop in Split. The programme comprises film screenings, work-shops and seminars in four states of south-east Europe (Greece, Croatia, Romania and Albania) and it is being organised by Balkan Cultural Centre in cooperation with Mediterranean Film Festival and Kino klub Split.
The peak of this industry programme as a part of the festival will definitely be hosting a Greek director Thanos Anastopoulos and the free screening of the movie"Diorthosi". The director is coming to FMFS just after the screening of his latest documentary The Last Resort in Cannes.
The movie sound work- shop City Soundscapes will be held by the direcotr of Greek film centre, Elektra Venaki, and our film critic and publicist Diana Nenadić will host a work- shop "Splitska škola filma: underground s mediteranskim licem." As a part of the programme there will be a screening of a short film Poslijepodne/ Puška by Lordan Zafranović and a lecture; the movie makers that are interested can apply to his Masterclass here.
The programme "The 5C Project Cine-Caravan" will give to the audience an opportunity to analyse feature and short films of neigbouring countries' contemporary and older production that have never been screened before on their territory and in that way present a different point of view on the neighbouring cinematography. The aimed group is a young audience, local students and general audience and also European film amateurs that express themselves through written or audiovisual forms. The audience can also expect a selection of 11 short films from this year's "altcineAction" Film Festival in the programme "Balkan shorts".
